Films you remember seeing but you don't know the title of?

Recommended Posts

Does anyone here know any film you can think of that you remember seeing but don't know the title?

As for me, I remember seeing a film when I was young that kinda looked similar to "Clue" where the film took place in a large mansion, it had a dining room scene where there was a talking dear head, and one of the bedrooms had a falling ceiling attempting to crush the guests in there. Does anyone know what film I'm talking about?

Yes, Murder By Death.

The mansion address was 22 Twain, right? And the floor levels kept shifting?

There was a film I saw many years ago a number of times with different sets of friends. I must have seen it about 3 or 4 times in the movies. For years, I'd been describing it to people to find out what it was called but no-one seemed to recognise it from my description. Then, quite by chance, I stumbled across it on IMDB.

My Bloody Valentine: Wonderful Friday the 13th clone. Should have asked me, I watched the hell out of that when I was little, scared the hell out of me back then!

NO idea on the Clue clone, but I recall there being a movie from the late 70's or early 80's that featured a scene with two dogs running around the city intimidating people...

...the odd thing about the dogs is that they had old man faces in place of a regular dog head, and whats more strange is that the heads were upside down.

Anyone got any clues? :)

Oh yes, there was also an early 80's horror flick featuring a killer Atari 2600. I still can't find that one either. :/

That sounds like the Bishop of Battle segment from the movie Nightmares. It was about an evil arcade game rather than a killer Atari, but the idea is similar.

One that opened with like half an hour of a rollercoaster collapsing and burning and people screaming. I was 5... been scared of them ever since

One that ended with some miserable tosser rolling backwards and forwards on a skateboard while his friend smoked... then the one on the board took a run up and jumped over a bin. Sounds fascinating don't it.

One that had the bloke from "Men Behaving Badly" before he was famous as the owner of a killer motorbike. I think it was called "My Vampire Motorcycle" or something... i suspect it will be out of print so knowing the title won't help me in the least.

And finally... one with some 18-19 year olds who had been molested as children hunting down the peadophiles and killing them. In one of them they broke into a posh man's house and found out he was running a huge child porn ring, they where then disturbed by his maid or secretary or something...
"He's good friends with the local magistrate, i'll have you know"
"I bet he is"
It ended with the peado ring kidnapping one of them's young daughter and a stand-off on a clifftop road.

I remember some old movie I watched that had a bunch of short stories a la "Tales From the Crypt". One of them involved a small town where people would get lost forever. One family stopped for directions and were very polite to the locals, so they managed to leave the town. Another young couple drove up, was disrespectful to the guy and apparently became trapped, doomed to drive around in the middle of nowhere until death.

The movie with the killer game system was definitely a killer 2600, though I'll see if I can find the one you mentioned.

DeathBringer: Was your movie called: I Bought a Vampire Motorcycle?

Aha, it was, i was nearly there.

There was also some other one with a baldish bloke and his girlfriend who where both 'in the movies', it had a lot of sex scenes in between them working in films, some of which also involved sex scenes and they may have done porn films too. It was quite incoherent but would be nice for, uh, "artistic merit".

I'm kind of a big film buff so I usually find out the name of the film, but there are a few that elude me.

One I'm thinking of really only sticks out of my mind because of a disturbing scene in it. There's this woman who for some reason got shrunk to like 12" tall, and then there's this demon or alien or something that possesses a baby doll, then performs some ritual to make him grow a penis so he can rape the chick and sire offspring. So the movie involves a tiny woman getting raped by a baby doll. Yay, the amazing stuff you see on the Sci-Fi Channel sometimes. I think it also had a tiny space man hunting the demon/alien and that it was the sequel to another movie wherein I assume it is explained why the woman got shrunk.

There was this old "art" film I saw as a child on PBS, I believe. What interests me about it is that I remember at least part of the film - perhaps the entire thing? - taking place from the view point of a fox or otter. At the end of the film, the animal is chased by hunting dogs and tries to scurry up a tree but is ultimately caught. The film ends with a black screen after the animal is killed.

I doubt I had a vivid enough imagination to make that up, so I've been dying to know what the film was.

Another film I remember was about an aboriginal boy who befriends a dingo and goes on adventures with it. The boy could have just been Australian, but I don't think he was.

Sounds like one of the Dollman movies. I only saw number 3 or 4, but the premise of the tiny guy from space fighting some kind of alien/demon that gets loose in low-class suburbia along with some shrunken woman is pretty much the same for all of them.

There's one animated movie I used to watch that I always forget the title of. I know it had a painter guy who got stuck in this world, a big round villain with spikes on him, and a big red bear.

There's also another movie I remember watching a very long time ago, but the only scene that's sticks out in my mind is when they're talking about putting two mirrors together and how the image goes on for infinity. That one was animated, too.

Sounds kind of like Coolworld. If it was part live-action then it probably was. That was Ralph Bakshi's last movie. It flopped so badly that he resolved never to make another movie. So far, he's been true to his word.

Oh yeah, Dollman. I think it was the 2nd one. What is it with horrible sci-fi horror movies always having 30 sequels even though they have a fanbase of like 5 people?

There was a film out in 2005-7 (not sure which, possibly 06) that was set in near-future Britain (but resembled a war-torn Balkan country), where humans lost their ability to reproduce and so there were no children left and all the schools were empty etc. However, a little black girl was discovered and the film was about saving her or something. I remember the trailer for it but never saw it, any ideas what it was?

From when I was less than ten, I'll mention two weird films that stayed in my mind:

  • One had a scene with a man and two seemingly crazy women next to a fireplace. One of the women had a big rounded hole through her belly (was perforated), but was well alive. I think that after a scene, the man wanted to leave, but he insulted them, and for that, they smashed him with a glass bottle and let him unconscious.
  • Another one was a horror film about a very ugly but lean reptilian, nightmarish, killer alien that was feeding on electricity, becoming all larger and more dangerous, zapping with lightning everything in sight. At first it was no larger than a lizard, but it became building-sized later. It was more like a beast than a person. And yeah it was ugly, with a horizontal set of jaws and electrocuting everything... The movie wasn't like Godzilla (the movie), but more like about a stealth monster invading a powerplant.
I'd be grateful to know the films' names :)

When I was 3 or 4, I remember seeing bits of this movie where some guy keeps talking about an "SOS" over and over...that's all I can remember. Still haven't figured out what movie that is.

Probably Death Becomes Her. I only saw it when it first came out over a decade ago and I don't remember the specific scene you describe, but the poster should be enough to tell if it's the same 2 women or not. I think what happened was the women drank some immortality potion but it wasn't what they expected and they lived through all these big accidents and the guy was a rich plastic surgeon who had to keep fixing them up and they were in his house demanding repair jobs.

I seem to remember a movie about a alternate reality crashing with our own and a man meeting his otherself atmist the crisis. The other realty had killer robots that took quite few shots to take down and 3 soldiers fighting the robots who were from the alternate reality. The movie ended with a soldier dying while the reality rift closed.

I belive it was a UK tv movie. And I think its name was Apex. I might be wrong.I would be very thankful to get its name.

Sounds cool. I should get it sometime.

I remember seeing this movie on tv probabily in the mid 1990's about these desert worms that invaded some small town. They would burrow through the sand and eat people, cattle, ect and it wasn't until people discovered that they saw by vibrations in the ground was the combat tilted back into the peoples favor. I remember being scared of it back then, but always wanted to watch it now just for fun.

If one of the people "run" the last worm off a cliff at the end; Tremors.

There's 3 sequels, each progressively worse, though I thought Tremors 2 was at least on par with the original because the creature evolution was so radical it prevented any generic rehash.

I'm not sure if this was actually a movie or just dream I had when I was a kid but anyway...

It takes place in some big expansive warehouse-like lab with much of the lighting out and some red orangutan-like killer ape is attacking people. It was pretty cool.

And it wasn't Monkey Shines.

when i was like 5 or 6 i saw this movie about this one cruise ship that got attacked by some ridiculously huge octopus thing, and there were these robbers who hopped aboard the ship to raid it, and everyone was dead, then they became stuck on the ship and had to fight off the octopus thing, then the main characters are this guy and this girl who are the only people who get off, and they get off via jetski before the ship sank. then at the end they land on an island then they hear a roar then the movie is over.

That's Deep Rising. Directed by the same guy as the Mummy series. It's a pretty good B-movie. :)

No, it was horrible typical cliche Hollywood trash. People are able to pick any lock or security system, open AND close powered and elevator doors as they please by shooting the controls with a shotgun. And at the end EVERYTHING explodes for little or no reason. And also the extremely irritating cheesy comic relief guy survives at the end too, most gravely unfortunately. I want back the $2 I paid for the tape.

ahhh, deep rising. thanks. so the typical cliches were in deep rising? when i think about it its pretty funny, because its all true in that movie. then again, its supposed to be a realistic movie about a real octopus monster thats like as big as a fricken cruise ship and can see out of each and every one of its 600 tentacles that eat people. and its based on a true story that really happened with real people.
