Technician Posted September 2, 2008 http://cbs2.com/local/LaFontaine.voiceover.died.2.808104.html I couldn't let this go unturned here at Doomworld. The man who has done over 5,000 movie trailers has died at 68. 0 Share this post Link to post
Bashe Posted September 2, 2008 Oh my god...is this seriously happening? Fuck...R.I.P. His grand voice will be missed. 0 Share this post Link to post

Enjay Posted September 2, 2008 I can believe it. No one lives forever. [LaFontaine]...but now he will have to make one last journey, where he will discover the true meaning of life.[/LaFontaine] Definitely the end of an era. 0 Share this post Link to post

MasterOFDeath Posted September 2, 2008 ...:( R.I.P. All he did were movie trailers but its hard to imagine it without him now. 0 Share this post Link to post
Use Posted September 3, 2008 Shitty. He did the narration in Powerslave on Saturn (not sure about other versions), before he was everywhere. 0 Share this post Link to post

Enjay Posted September 3, 2008 It is quite bizarre and fascinating that so many movies, games, TV shows, whatever were all trailered by the same guy. I wonder how it got to the point where people simply didn't call anyone else and LaFontaine just became the automatic choice for most trailers? 0 Share this post Link to post
Nightmare Doom Posted September 3, 2008 I guess we found a guy who can replace him... 0 Share this post Link to post
Adam3 Posted September 6, 2008 Damn, he made trailers seem so epic too... :( 0 Share this post Link to post
Coopersville Posted September 6, 2008 I never looked up who the voice was for all those trailers and such. I guess I've cofused him for Keith David a few times, too. Anyway, gg, Don. 0 Share this post Link to post
