Extracting a map from a wad

I have a wad that I want to extract from a set of wads and save as a standalone map. Its probably simple, but I don't know how to do it.

Could someone tell me how, or point me somewhere that will tell me?

Your terminology seems confused.
Do you mean that you have a WAD file containing multiple levels, and you want to extract one of the levels to a standalone WAD?

With Doom Builder, open the wad and then the map you want to "extract". Then with the "File" menu, you can try "Save Map Into" and then save the map into another wad. :>
