Heretic Level Names

I remeber playing Heretic back a few weeks ago, and as the ame progressed the level names got weirder.
Take, for instance, E5M7, Foetid Manse. What the hell is a Foetid Manse? There's plenty mroe of weird names to talk about, but I don't remeber a lot of them.

Yeah, but that level sucks, of course it's gonna have a stupid name to go with it. Of course it helps if you know what some of the words mean too.

Episode 5? I don't play heretic much, is this an expansion?

It's the version of Heretic they released like 5 years ago in stores. It's the standard release. There's actually a 3-level Episode 6 as well.

I've never played Heretic in my life. Or Hexen.

Oh, and foetid manse basically means Smelly Mansion. But, like, a lot worse than smelly.
