Why was Doom 2 more like an expansion pack than a new game?

Because it pissed me off that it was. I hated the level design also. I wish the cities would have been more city like! Well, time to go shoot some Imp's!

You have no taste, you protien stain. Doom 2 rocked. Thought I can agree with one thing you say. The city levels sould have been more city like, unless they were ruined or subverted.

There's one level...I can't remember wich one, with a city / outdoor theme, and pretty close to the start point there is this...thing, made of black boxes and with imps over it. That's pretty much where my hope for "cities" fell into the toilet.
