loser Posted February 6, 2002 It seems to me that BSP 5.0 won't build nodes for maps that are in the ZDooM format. Does anyone know of a stand-alone nodes builder that can do this? 0 Share this post Link to post
Fredrik Posted February 6, 2002 I guess you can run DeepBSP as a stand-alone program. 0 Share this post Link to post
deep Posted February 7, 2002 You can run DeePbsp standalone, but it always defaults to a split factor of 8 when run that way. Not too big a deal, except for giant levels it's nice to vary it from within DeePsea. That's the fastest mode, so I guess that's why I defaulted it that way:) You can run Zennode too though. No much difference, except it makes a reject. All BSP has to do is look for the BEHAVIOR and adjust formats accordingly. Both Mark and I do essentially the same thing. FYI: Got a chance to test VRACK2 on a P200 - S3 Virge. Runs at exactly the same speed with or without a reject (which is what I theorized earlier). ZDOOM can't go over 35fps (nor most doom ports) since that's the tic rate of the game. Type vid_fps 1 at the ZDOOM console to see (for anyone that wants to see for themselves). 0 Share this post Link to post
loser Posted February 7, 2002 I have downloaded ZenNode. It does support ZDooM format maps, and it's fast. Thanks for the information. 0 Share this post Link to post
