Ninjalah Posted August 3, 2009 How do I make it so that when the player dies, it goes to the next map? I remember seeing it at the end of the first episode in Doom 1 i believe, but it's been awhile so idk. 0 Share this post Link to post
arrrgh Posted August 3, 2009 You could, maybe... open up the Doom IWAD and look at the map yourself? Such unconventianal thinking! 0 Share this post Link to post
Mithral_Demon Posted August 3, 2009 On Doom 1, it's the Sector Action "End Level 10% or lower Health", the player DOES NOT die. But if I actually remember correctly there might be a map with a Voodoo, where you die (Voodoo Death sequence) and move on, it was a Megawad for Doom 1, cause there wasn't any SSG's. 0 Share this post Link to post
Ninjalah Posted August 3, 2009 Hm, well i wanted the player to die, so they would start the next map with a pistol etc. 0 Share this post Link to post
Mithral_Demon Posted August 3, 2009 Yeah, using a Voodoo that gets killed (in means killing you too) in Zdoom or it's relatives having the "End Level/Map" action, which means you'll start with a Pistol, I think that is how it was done. 0 Share this post Link to post
esselfortium Posted August 3, 2009 http://www.doomworld.com/vb/doom-editing/47206-boom-forcing-a-pistol-start/ The info you're looking for is in this thread. 0 Share this post Link to post
Abyssalstudios1 Posted August 4, 2009 I know that one in one (probably more) of the Claustrophobia 1024 maps, the player exits by teleporting into a voodoo doll and a Romero head, which ended the level but killed the player. 0 Share this post Link to post
