So I only once stumbled upon this book after my childhood (maybe I was a teenager or early twenties) and I remember thinking: how come I never knew about this book as a kid, kinda cool....

Well, as you may know, it's been made into a film. Many people automatically think that children stories are just for children, but I believe such a story is important for everyone at any age. I don't feel like going into my reasons here, but what do you think? Are such 'children' stories really only worthwhile for kids to see?

You should only need the video ID; the numbers, letters, and symbols that appear after "/watch?v=".

I'm interested in seeing this film myself, however I always have the sneaking suspicion that they're going to rape my childhood.

I never read the book so there will be no raping of my childhood. That said, it seems like an interesting movie and I'll probably go watch.

The comic book heroes, old cartoons, and iconic toys are getting it. Now it's your turn.

I never got around to reading the book, but the movie looks alright.

My dad used to read the book to me every night so this movie better not ruin my childhood memories by being bad. It probably won't... looks charming enough.

Never read the book, though the preview seems a bit disturbing.

Here in cinemas they're showing some 3D CGI movie about a girl who ends up in a fantasy land of dolls where they want to remove her eyeballs and sew buttons in their place.

Maybe giving children nightmares is the new thing.

Tim Burton's Alice will have big shoes to fill. I'll always see the 1951 Disney cartoon in my mind. I thought the 1999 film was disturbing, poorly themed, slow and full of annoying actors.

Out of interest, has anyone else seen (or even heard of) the 1976 Alice in Wonderland porn movie? It's pretty terrible :P

I don't know how to respond to that.

I really like the new trailer to Where The Wild Things Are. I hope the trailer is an honest portrayal of what the film will be like.

I remember that book well. I hope the movie does it justice.

Did you see the trailer? The costumes look pretty sweet.
