DeumReaper Posted August 13, 2009 via Shacknews Shacknews said: An Xbox Live Arcade version of id software's 1994 shooter Doom II: Hell on Earth is being shown on the floor at QuakeCon, expected to be officially announced later today. A whole new episode will be included, along with all of Doom 2's original content. Four-player split-screen multiplayer will be available in addition to online play. Neither release date nor price are currently known for the port, which is being handled by Doom XBLA porter Nerve Software. Wish I had a 360 right now, but I'll think I'll get a friend to buy it and let me play it, just for the new episode. I wonder if it will be consistent with original Doom II (and fun?). 0 Share this post Link to post

myk Posted August 14, 2009 Maybe it's Thy Flesh Consumed from The Ultimate DOOM. Wasn't that missing from the Xbox DOOM? 0 Share this post Link to post
DuckReconMajor Posted August 14, 2009 Nope, XBLA Doom is an almost perfect copy of Ultimate Doom. 0 Share this post Link to post
Devalaous Posted August 14, 2009 I think these pictures will enlighten people that Doom on XBLA is indeed Ultimate Doom http://i120.photobucket.com/albums/o181/Ekerezan/Picture023.jpg http://i120.photobucket.com/albums/o181/Ekerezan/Picture025.jpg http://i120.photobucket.com/albums/o181/Ekerezan/Picture026.jpg http://i120.photobucket.com/albums/o181/Ekerezan/Picture028.jpg Personally, I'm hoping this extra episode is Master Levels, if it isnt something brand new 0 Share this post Link to post
Nomad Posted August 14, 2009 Master Levels, or maybe the Lost Episode. Jupiter.wad or whatever it's called would be cool. Although I don't have a 360 so I don't really care. 0 Share this post Link to post
GreyGhost Posted August 14, 2009 This is just wishful thinking but would be nice. :-) 0 Share this post Link to post
beatles9forever Posted August 14, 2009 how much will it cost? 200 somethin ms points? 0 Share this post Link to post
Devalaous Posted August 14, 2009 Maybe 400, most likely 800. Doom started out as 800, and sold so damn well (as it should!) that it became an Arcade Hit and got reduced to 400, so I dont think Doom 2 will start at 400. If were unlucky, it'll be 1200, but I dont see that happening 0 Share this post Link to post

Reevys Posted August 17, 2009 I can't wait for this, and have been hoping and praying id would release it ever since I got my 360. A day one purchase for me, I'll quite happily pay whatever they ask (although 400 MS points would be preferred). My only hope is that the Master Levels will be included, as I've never played them before, and I really want to. :D 0 Share this post Link to post
