eargosedown Posted December 23, 2009 Anytime I try and run Legacy in Open or MiniGL, it crashes with a signal_handler(): segment violation error. I've tried just about everything I can think of to fix this, and it just randomly started happening. It used to run just fine in GL modes. If I can't get it to work, can anyone recommend a port that can run a high resolution (1280/720+) in windowed mode? Me and my boyfriend record "Lets Play" videos every now and then and have been using the Legacy windowed mode for it. Cheers =) 0 Share this post Link to post
Sergeant_Mark_IV Posted December 23, 2009 Lol, why you still use legacy? Go for Skulltag, or GZDoom. 0 Share this post Link to post

Reisal Posted December 23, 2009 Use another source port, Legacy seems to be dead...you expect after 6 years of no real news on 2.0? 0 Share this post Link to post
kristus Posted December 23, 2009 Legacy still has the best LAN CS. Try running in regular OpenGL and no MiniGl. Other than that try and allocate more memory. -mb 128 for instance. 0 Share this post Link to post
Super Jamie Posted December 23, 2009 If you just want an OpenGL port which can run window/fullscreen, check out GZDoom - http://grafzahl.drdteam.org/ - PrBoom-Plus also has a GL renderer for Windows - http://prboom-plus.sourceforge.net/ 0 Share this post Link to post
eargosedown Posted December 25, 2009 Switched over to GZDoom, works great. Thanks guys! 0 Share this post Link to post
Csonicgo Posted December 25, 2009 too bad legacy still outperforms gzdoom in the lights department. With no shaders, I might add. 0 Share this post Link to post
