wolf739 Posted January 30, 2010 I'm starting to get into editing my own stuff and I know that zDoom has a limit to linedefs vertexes and sectors, and I plan on making a huge map but I don't know what the limits are to the above, anyone who can help me will be greatly appreciated (sorry if this question sounds noobish) 0 Share this post Link to post
Graf Zahl Posted January 30, 2010 If you use UDMF format there are no limits outside what fits into memory. 0 Share this post Link to post
printz Posted January 30, 2010 May I ask what makes the binary setup so different that it's unable to go past the short int limit? 0 Share this post Link to post
Graf Zahl Posted January 30, 2010 The simple fact that you can't store values larger than 65535 in a short int. If you wanted to store larger values you'd need 3 or 4 bytes but then you'd have another map format already. 0 Share this post Link to post
