BeenJammin Posted February 13, 2010 I've fumbled through a bunch of sky topics and and I can't figure it out. I'm using XWE and a 256x128 bitmap picture. PLEASE tell me how, step-by-step. 0 Share this post Link to post
Xtroose Posted February 13, 2010 In the Entry menu select New. Write PP_START in the box. In the Entry menu select Load. Locate the bitmap image and choose Open. Right click on the imported sky texture and choose Rename Entry. Rename the entry to RSKY1.* In the Entry menu select New. Write PP_END in the box. This is it. _____________________________ * If you are replacing the first sky in Doom II. Otherwise you could use RSKY2 or RSKY3. If you are replacing sky textures in Doom you should use SKY1, SKY2, SKY3 and SKY4 - sky number represents the episode the sky belongs to. 0 Share this post Link to post
TimeOfDeath Posted February 13, 2010 If you have the latest xwe from http://www.doomworld.com/xwe - rename your bitmap file RSKY1 or RSKY2 or RSKY3 (depending on what sky you want to replace) - open xwe, press the "patches" tab near the bottom - at the top, go to "entry", then "load", then choose your bitmap file That's it :) 0 Share this post Link to post
Gez Posted February 13, 2010 Also, you don't need to replace the skies if you're using a port such as ZDoom, Eternity, Doomsday, Legacy or any other with some sort of map info lump. 0 Share this post Link to post
