Personas for Firefox

Recommended Posts

Or five minutes in Photoshop. I just searched "Doom" in Personas and that popped up.

I had a reason to not [IMG] it. It'll stretch 1024*768 screens

Ah, ok. That explains everything. A perfectly good reason to post shit.

Does anyone still work under this resolution?

Meh - Personas, pointless frippery. Instead of wasting time on that "feature" for 3.6 they should have done something more productive - like adding support for download resumption.

I liked it far more when Personas were installed as an add-on. I am currently using a Royale Noir persona to fit with my XP theme.

I really like the simplicity of the Full Flat theme, too bad it is so bright.

I work under 1024×576.

*me raises hand*

Is there something wrong with that? It looks the most "normal" to me...

Well, it certainly won't look the most "normal" on pretty much any screen over like 15". Unless of course you'd rather have your taskbar take up 1/2 of the screen.

Yeah, the last time I used it was on my 14". 1280x960 is the minimum for me now.

Actually even in games I can't stand anything less than 1600x1200.

It depends on the monitor (and video card) very much. On my LCD, anything else than 1280x1024 looks shit and blurry.

Old, used CRTs are dirt cheap now.

My 22" Belinea was 1/3rd of the price of the cheapest 17" LCD I could find at the time.

Why do people want their screens cluttered up with crap? I like Nomad's theme.

People just want their screens to look interesting. If my desktop was just a blue screen, it would be boring. Especially if I was using that CRT that's bigger than 1024*768. Also, I know anyone who still uses an IBM ThinkPad has to run at 1024*768. Some people don't have gold mines thus resulting in the ability to buy a computer every month. I don't need to be pressured to buy a new monitor/hard drive/video card/whatever by some nerds on the internet. What I have will play what I give a flying fuck about perfectly.

Now can we please stop derailing this thread with talk about screen resolutions?

Well, in theory he didn't. He just called us all fucking idiots and edited his post.

I use 1280x1024 normally. I haven't needed to use anything higher. What do gamers benefit from using higher resolutions? I can understand when it comes to strategy games (SC, Red Alert, etc), but not FPSs and the like.

JAGGIES

:P

Seriously, I don't see why you would run games at anything less than the maximum resolution your comp can handle with acceptable performance.
