Maybe it's time to head north to Canada, eh? The worst part is, some of them weren't even prosecuted. Apparently, some of the children couldn't be identified, so somehow that means the offenders were able to just walk away (This comes from a different article, I don't have the link).

In the pentagon? I think they only have the **** things I don't like, because they found out something about children. Maybe they say now: "That ship sailed a long time ago."... but for kids! Are they really that mature? I mean the felon children. Just like this one: please calm down.

If you look at the facts you are right. However in the media it should be a bit hotter when you assume that the Pentagon means your security by any means.

No big news here. People in power in the US have been kid-fuckers since basically forever. Listen to the song "Brown Shoes don't Make It" by Frank Zappa, circa 1968. He was calling the bastards out way back then.

Being a kid-fucker and having pedophilia are different things. Most of the later don't actually fuck kids. On the other hand, yes child pornography is wrong since it does involve children being sexually abused at least once for the pornography to be made in the first place -- downloading, enjoying said porn is pretty much akin to condoning the acts of (sexual) abuse against children.

On the other hand, the type of people that relieve their urges through things like chibi art, well, that's a little different, since it's all fantasy there, no harm done, no matter how perverted you might think said people are. =p (yeah this paragraph doesn't have direct relevance, but I did want at least one example of something pedos do that is not wrong)

Yeah, I pretty much agree with all of what you said here. My wording was intentionally a bit harsh. Mostly because of the hypocrisy of the whole situation. Don't get me wrong, I think the way most sex crimes are treated in the US is atrocious. People convicted of a thought crime, verbal insult, or something stupid like mooning someone can eternally be registered as a sex offender and be constantly ridiculed wherever they go. Is this a good idea for serious criminals like rapists? Absolutely. However, the police personally threatened to put me on the sex offender registry for uploading a picture of girls in their underwear onto my website when I was 15.

So while child pornography is pretty reprehensible, is public, lifelong humiliation the answer? Why not just treatment and probation?
