XWE doesn't work on vista!!!

I've been trying to get XWE to work on my Vista, but when I click the EXE, it pops an error up:

Failed to create key .wad

Then the program opens and gives another error:

List index out of bounds (0)

Then when I try to open a wad and edit it gives me...:

Access violation at address 00442E5A in module 'XWE.exe' Read of address 00000050.


HALP!

Are you running it as Administrator?
