Andrea Rovenski Posted August 22, 2010 I few that I remember. PC- Doom (Didn't see that'n comin'?? Didja?) NES- Duckhunt SNES- Super Mario World N64- Ocarina of Time Gameboy - Pokemon Red Gameboy Color - Pokemon Gold Gameboy Advance - Pokemon Firered/ Mario and Luigi: Superstar saga DS - Pokemon Heartgold. Playstation - ARGH! Too hard! I guess.. Rayman, and Spyro. Playstation2 - Either Timesplitters: Future Perfect or GTA: Vice City Playstation3- N/A Xbox- Doom 3 Xbox360 - Halo 3, Dead Rising, or Halo Wars. Did I miss anything? So....you?! 0 Share this post Link to post
Jodwin Posted August 22, 2010 Why not... PC: Ugh, this should be split into parts somehow, including everything from the 80s 'till 00s is like deciding the top one from all Nintendo consoles. Still, guess I'll have to go with Doom because it's the one I've played the most. NES: A tough one, a lot of good ones but I'll have to go with Megaman 2. SNES: Link to the Past. GB: Link's Awakening. DS: Uhh...an other tough one. I haven't played that many DS games but almost all of them had been really good. It's looking like a tie between Etrian Odyssey, FF Tactics A2, Disgaea DS and Castlevania: PoR...I think I'll go with Etrian Odyssey this time. 0 Share this post Link to post
kristus Posted August 22, 2010 PC: Fuck if I know. To pick just one, lets go with Quake 3/Live. NES: Castlevania AtariST: maybe Flood PSx: Driver or Gran Tourismo PS2: Ico, Shadow of the Colossus and/or God of war 2 0 Share this post Link to post
Craigs Posted August 22, 2010 My favorite game for the original Xbox was probably Halo Xbox360: Modern Warfare 2 I don't really play games on the PC since it is stupid when you have a 360 but there's one called Bejeweled that I really like. 0 Share this post Link to post
Bank Posted August 22, 2010 I notice Genesis isn't on here, I'd say either Earthworm Jim or the first Sonic game. 0 Share this post Link to post

I say the same thing, but in reverse. At least at the time that I had an Xbox 360 in my household. 0 Share this post Link to post
Alfonzo Posted August 22, 2010 I'm the stingy bastard who waits 2 or 3 generations down the line before picking up my own version of the "what's new" platformer. The result is a rather selective branch of latecomers to the has been generation, and £40 extra to spend on Danish pastries and low buget blockbusters. Kiiia! PC: Doom, yes yes. Or Star Wars: Shadows of the Empire, Captain Claw... I don't know. They're not so much games I preffer but games I can actually remember having been played. NES: n/a SNES: Yoshi's Island probably! Followed by Super Mario Kart. N64: Mario Golf, heh. Or Tennis. Diddy Kong racing maybe. Gameboy: Super Mario Land 3: Warrio something-or-other. Gameboy Colour: Carry over. Gameboy Advance: Metroid something-or-other. DS: n/a Playstation: CTR: Crash Team Racing Playstation 2: Bit Mix'n'match there. GTA: Vice City if anything. Playstation 3: n/a XBox: Baldur's Gate perhap? XBox 360: n/a ...Ya know, I understand nobody put a gun to my head or anything, but I really do feel as though it must be mentioned. Board games. I love board games. And Charades! I love that too! ...wait. That was my cue to leave? 0 Share this post Link to post

Mattfrie1 Posted August 22, 2010 I can't pick just one, so I narrowed it down to some of my standout games on each console I own. Snakes Posted August 23, 2010 Oh hell... Let's see: NES: Super Mario Bros. SNES: Super Mario Kart... I remember really loving a game called Uniracers, but I can't find it anywhere. N64: My favorite system by far. Mario 64, Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time (I really can not pick) Gamecube: Prince of Persia: Sands of Time Wii: Super Mario Galaxy and Super Smash Brothers Brawl are both fantastic Gameboy: Pokemon Red Playstation: Final Fantasy VIII PS2: Hm... Devil May Cry Genesis/Master Drive: Sonic the Hedgehog 3/Sonic & Knuckles (y'know, stacked) PC: Doom, with periods of various Star Wars games (KOTR), and Rome: Total War I think that covers everything I've owned in my day. Systems I haven't/won't own BioShock... Um, that's the only one I think I've really liked. L4D was mild fun. 0 Share this post Link to post
GreyGhost Posted August 23, 2010 PC: Doom or Might & Magic Commodore 64: Elite or Gunship Amiga (entry level): PowerMonger or Harpoon Amiga (mid-high end): Frontier: Elite II 0 Share this post Link to post

DoomUK Posted August 23, 2010 Jello said:N64 - GoldenEye One of the extremely few FPSs in history which flies in the face of this long-standing "PC is superior platform for such games, no arguments" snobbery. Along with the Playstation port of Doom/Doom II. Not that I disagree with the statement as such. But Goldeneye was so great, that I couldn't of cared less at the time whether I was using an ultimately inferior man-machine interface with which I navigated a digitised Pierce Brosnan. 0 Share this post Link to post
Megalyth Posted August 23, 2010 It's always difficult to pick absolute favorites, and some of these are by a hair's breadth. I'll try to narrow it down as much as possible, at least. PC - Doom (not specifically Doom1, just Doom in general), Sam & Max Hit the Road, Stepmania NES - Super Mario Brothers 3 SNES - Demon's Crest N64 - Doom 64 Gamecube - Sonic Heroes Wii - Muramasa The Demon Blade, No More Heroes Genesis - Ranger X, Sonic 3 & Knuckles Sega CD - Puggsy, Sonic CD Saturn - Nights into Dreams Dreamcast - Bangai-O, Sonic Adventure PS1 - Castlevania SotN, MDK PS2 - Odin Sphere, Okami, Shadow of the Colossus Xbox 360 - Dead Space, Gears of War series inb4 massive list of every good game known to man Edit - I also enjoy chess, othello, and Magic the Gathering as far as board/table-top games go. Edit 2 - I forgot Commander Keen! 0 Share this post Link to post
exp(x) Posted August 23, 2010 PC: Deus Ex NES: Duck Hunt SNES: Donkey Kong Country 3 N64: Diddy Kong Racing Wii: Mario Galaxy 0 Share this post Link to post
E.J. Posted August 23, 2010 No point in putting in multiple entries for each. If I had a toss up on a game, I made myself decide... NES -> Bionic Commando Nintendo GameBoy -> The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening Sega Genesis -> Contra: Hard Corps Sega 32X -> Doom Sega Cd -> Sonic Cd SNES -> Final Fantasy III (VI in Japan) Sega Saturn -> Panzer Dragoon Series Sony Playstation -> Metal Gear Solid Nintendo 64 -> The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Sony Playstation 2 -> Final Fantasy XII Nintendo GameBoy Advance -> Metroid Fusion Microsoft Xbox -> Morrowind: GOTY Edition Nintendo Gamecube -> Resident Evil 4 PC DOS -> Doom Series PC Windows -> Fallout 3 I actually had a hard time picking between the Elder Scrolls series, and the now Bethesda led Fallout series. Both have a construction kit. So even if you burn out on the vanilla games, you can go back later, and mod the hell out of them. 0 Share this post Link to post
Bucket Posted August 23, 2010 I suppose I could come up with a few. Atari 2600 - Warlords Commodore 64 - Cosmic Relief NES - Double Dragon 2 Gameboy - Final Fantasy Adventure Genesis - Race Drivin' Turbo Grafx 16 - It Came from the Desert DOS PC - Doom SNES - Super Mario Kart PS1 - Final Fantasy 9 N64 - Bomberman 64 Gameboy Advance - Mario Kart Advance Windows PC - Half Life + mods PS2 - Shadow of the Colossus PS3 - MAG It's difficult picking 1 favorite PC game since it's been a constant platform for 20 years. 0 Share this post Link to post
Shaikoten Posted August 23, 2010 Only going to rank things I've played extensively here for obvious reasons. PC: Civilization 4 (System Shock 2, Doom as runners up) NES: Contra (Excite Bike/TMNT2 as runners up) SNES: Super Mario World (So many runners up it's not fair, but SMW is pretty much the best) N64: Starfox 64 Gamecube: Timesplitters 2 Wii: SSBB Gameboy: Pokemon GBA: Tales of Phantasia PS1: THPS2 PS2: Serious Sam (the console version was awesome and arcadey) NeoGeo: Metal Slug X I could go on, but that's enough for now. 0 Share this post Link to post
fatal error Posted August 23, 2010 Bank said:I notice Genesis isn't on here, I'd say either Earthworm Jim or the first Sonic game. Yeah the first sonic game was the only good one in my opinion. As for my platform preferences, here they are. pc-Blood then Doom then Duke Nukem xbox-Half Life 2 xbox 360-The Orange Box nes-Castlevania 3 genesis-Sonic I would suppose (never had many genesis games.) n64-007 Goldeneye then Doom 64 then Zelda Ocarina of time Game cube- The Legend of zelda the wind waker Game Boy Advance-Pokemon Emerald Nintendo DS- Pokemon Soul Silver (got to play something non-violent sometimes.) and then MOON 0 Share this post Link to post
Mr. T Posted August 23, 2010 PC: CS(not source) still does it for me man SNES: Contra3, super mario (the latter is too easy to get 100% on once u have blue yoshi but whatever) N64: Perfect Dark, it took everything that was good about GE and wrapped it in a game that is really fucking hard. SWEET PS2: MGS2 what a blast. San Andreas too, that game is too epic for words. The San Fierro segment was boring but the missions in the desert are some of the most fun I've ever had playing a game, kick ass yo 0 Share this post Link to post
Clonehunter Posted August 23, 2010 NES: N/A SNES: Primal Rage or this one Batman game, the one with the Penguin and cat girl in it. N64: Star Wars Episode 1 Racer (Only game N64 game I ever really played) PSX: Warpath Jurassic Park PS2: The Godfather PS3: CoD: World at War Xbox: Blinx or something like that Xbox 360: Soul Caliber IV PC: Doom, Doom 3, Age of Empires 2, or Jurassic Park Operation Genesis Wii: Also CoD: World at War, or this rather fun (But frustrating) Firefighters game called Firefighter EDIT: Forgot the handhelds! PSP: Star Wars Elite Squadrons Nintendo DS: Drawn to Life (Only NDS game I've played) Gameboy Advanced: Not sure, but I kinda enjoyed Star Wars Flight of the Falcon 0 Share this post Link to post

Sharessa Posted August 23, 2010 I've logged about 100x more hours on PC than probably all other consoles combined, so this will be difficult. NES - Super Mario Bros. 2, probably SNES - Final Fantasy 6 N64 - Goldeneye GC - Super Smash Bros. or Eternal Darkness GB - Kirby's Pinball GBA - Final Fantasy Tactics DS - Chrono Trigger (a close second for my favorite SNES game...I was glad when it came out on DS :P) PSX - Suikoden DC - Crazy Taxi C64 - Choplifter PC - Civilization? Baldur's Gate 2? Planescape: Torment? Fallout? Deus Ex? Rome: Total War? Dwarf Fortress? Quake 2? Doom? ARGH, too many to decide, damnit. I haven't really played much of any other systems. 0 Share this post Link to post
