Open world doom wads

Hello!

I played Far Cry 2 and really liked the "open world" concept.

Are there any "open world" or "sandbox" / "free roaming" wads?

Type nomonsters if you want "free roaming".

The Eternal Doom III demo contains massive, sprawling, nonlinear maps that could be described as "open world". There are still obstacle based objectives and areas to unlock, don't know if that fits your definition of open world / sandbox.

There's a wad called Europe - a fairly massive city type place which I think starts to replicate the feel of a large, fairly open world.

Too bad "open world" maps are a usually risky buisness in OpenGL Doom engines...
