Use Posted January 17, 2011 Sharing is caring ...article. I should probably read them again for fun. 0 Share this post Link to post
ArchitectofHell Posted January 17, 2011 I never read these, and I don't think I will--that plot is a wreck! 0 Share this post Link to post
lupinx-Kassman Posted January 17, 2011 So, there is a race worse than doom's demons (or ..freds according to this book), and they are a legion of microscopic tiny people called Newbies? Huh!? 0 Share this post Link to post
Cthulhunicron Posted January 17, 2011 Yeah, the books were weird. Especially the fourth one, which has practically nothing to do with the game at all. 0 Share this post Link to post
Clonehunter Posted January 18, 2011 I've only read excerpts from the first novels, and they seemed alright, albeit a bit humerous. But when it comes to reading Doom, I think I'll stick with the Costello novels for now. 0 Share this post Link to post
Xaser Posted January 18, 2011 I have all four. I am actually very entertained by their sheer nonsensicalness. 0 Share this post Link to post
Technician Posted January 18, 2011 I love the Doom novels. They start off good, the artists obviously wits up and "improves" or "humanizes" a lot of elements in the first two books. But then, once the material runs out and he must create new story, he goes straight for the New York Times best sellers list and gives us dribble that's so... odd, that you have to like it. It's a surreal experience. The Doom 3 novels are solid entries though. 0 Share this post Link to post
