In search of "high resolution" textures for jDoom

I did a format of my machine a few months ago. In the process I inadvertently lost a few files that I forgot to make a backup of. Shit happens.

One of these files though was a certain .pk3 that contained somewhat crisper versions of the original id textures for use in jDoom/Doomsday (yeah, I've always been confused as to which of these names refers to what).

NOT to be confused with the high-res texture project. As nice as these are, I prefer to play Doom with prettier versions of the original textures, rather than total reimaginations.


Can anyone lend me a hand finding this? Several Google searches yield nothing but links to the aforementioned high-res texture project, or dead links to what I'm possibly looking for.

I'm guessing you mean the detailed textures pack? Don't know if it will work on the 1.9.0 betas, but should work with 1.8.6 as far as I know. Been awhile since I used them. :)

EDIT: just tried myself, works in the latest beta release too.

Yes, those are the ones! Couldn't remember what the name of the pack was.

No problems. :) Glad you reminded me about it, forgot to re-add it to my addons list.
