Why are the DOOMWorld Forums so slow?

Yes, why? It is at least 10-20 times slower than other sites, no matter where I log in from. It started some time ago, even before the VBulletin switch. It really sucks, cause I like DOOMWorld, but when it takes me 2 minutes to check a thread and 5 minutes to post, I usually give up.

Sucks to be you. These here forums happen to be some of the swiftest I can connect to.

Then again, the 2000 single word posts a day obviously don't help matters much.

That happens to me once in a while, but usually it just lasts for a couple of hours.
