Chocolate Doom crashes after opening a door...

I have a door that is opened by a remote switch using action 31, and the engine just quits when I press the switch, not even an error message. If it helps, the door it's supposed to open is 576x24.

I checked, and yes, it is tagged correctly.

I would use action 103 -s1 door open stay. Dunno if that would solve the problem though.

Maybe you should try some tweaks to make the switch work. Try changing action, make the door smaller, rebuild nodes etc.

Yeah, action 31 is one of the "D1" actions only meant to activate the sector behind it, not remote doors. Use one of the "S1" types like action 103 and it shouldn't crash any more.

Support for using D* line types as S* types is a ZDoomism BTW, and is therefore a frequent issue of confusion. I have had people adamantly swear up and down that Eternity has "broken" D1 and DR door types. Heh.
