GZDoom Builder not working

Recommended Posts

I recently updated GZDoom Builder. However, when trying to open the program, I get an error saying that devil.dll could not be found. I placed it in the same folder as the program and I don't know why it is doing that. I tried doing the research and nothing seems to help. Does anyone know how to go about solving this issue?

Maybe the file is supposed to be in a subfolder, like maybe plugins.

That's not your problem. That is broken build. Try r3012.

r3015 works for me.

However, r3015-x64 seems iffy.

For some it crashes upon startup, for me upon closing an editing session.

Just to clarify, I said maybe (twice) because I was not sure if that was the problem. I was not being sarcastic.

I don't think I've tried that. I used system restore to restore my system back to when I had r3009.

Okay, so you are talking about GZDBBF and not GZDB.

Why restore when it is so simple to just download and install.

It's in the editor root directory
