I need some help

I'm trying to use doombuilder 2 and when I try to make doors the effect is missing

 

I'm really new to making maps so I'm not sure if I'm missing something

This should be in Doom Editing.

This is how to make a door in Doom Builder.

you need a linedef action for doors to open them, not a sector effect

What version of doom builder are you using and should I be using Zdoom (Doom in hexen format)

Pretty much nobody uses doom in hexen format anymore, UDMF has virtually replaced it, that said, if this is your first map i wouldn't recommend you to start mapping on those formats since they are more advanced and complex, try using any boom format for your first maps, since they are simple and straight to the point and as you gain experience you can move on to UDMF to make more complex maps
