I was wondering how would you add a jump sound. not for custome skin but for the defalt skin in doom (doomguy)?

would I just have to make my own skin?

It is possible. The sound is predefined in the zdoom.pk3 SNDINFO.

$playersound player male *jump dsjump

You just have to add the sound DSJUMP.

so that means you can replace any sound effect in the game?

Yes. You can replace or add sounds that are already defined in the zdoom/gzdoom.pk3 without needing to use a SNDINFO text lump of your own.

Please be careful when replacing the basic sounds though. I've seen so many wads that I stopped playing because of some retarded sound that just plain annoys me!
