Actually I found all the characters in TNG to be awful (apart from Spot, the cat). Voyager and Enterprise were more than watchable though.

Wesley crusher was probably the worst character.

I liked all the characters in TNG (yes, even him/her).

 

I feel like, when this comes out, people will complain it's not like TNG. As much as I like Patrick Stewart, he was only a piece of what made TNG a great show.

A lot of Trekkies seem to think Voyager was awful, and even though it was my first Trek I agree with them. I myself only liked TNG and DS9 even though I couldn't stand the religious stuff and the Bajorans, I haven't been able to watch TOS yet.

I wasn't actually a fan of Riker but I just would've found it interesting to have a series based on him being a captain for a change instead of just continuing with Picard.

We will finally get to see Trek continued and not rebooted or a prequel! I think that's what people want. I was pretty sure DS9 destroyed the lore of the alpha quadrant what with their stupid war and flip flopping alliances every episode or three.

 

I guess this kills any hope that Michael Dorn had for the Captain Worf series.

It’ll be odd to see Picard still as a captain, despite 20 years having gone by. But I vaguely recall an episode where he eschews higher command and opts to helm a ship instead. So there might be a logical reason he hasn’t been promoted to Grand Poobah of the Federation.
