DHaze Posted August 9, 2018 (edited) So I recently picked up doom 2 to play on my rotten potato laptop and been running into the two bugs listed in the title above. I noticed the white texture bug happens more often when I use mods (brutal doom, Ultimate doomvisor,Doommetalvol4) but it also happens when I just run the (map 2 is even worse when it comes to the amount of white textures) doom 2 was alone screens As for the very fatal error "Access Violation - tried to read address" the crash log and etc is in the zip and some extra info about my potato laptop (the crash usually happens when I click on the exit) I'm using GZDoom v3.5.0 vintage 32-bit OS Name Microsoft® Windows Vista™ Home Premium Version 6.0.6002 Service Pack 2 Build 6002 System Manufacturer Gateway System Model M-1617 System Type X86-based PC Processor AMD Turion(tm) 64 X2 Mobile Technology TL-58, 1900 Mhz, 2 Core(s), 2 Logical Processor(s) BIOS Version/Date Gateway 90.02, 8/2/2007 Hardware Abstraction Layer Version = "6.0.6002.18005" Installed Physical Memory (RAM) 2.00 GB Total Physical Memory 1.62 GB Available Physical Memory 399 MB Total Virtual Memory 3.49 GB Available Virtual Memory 2.02 GB Page File Space 1.92 GB Hoping someone can help me out or am I out of luck with my bad laptop? drfrag Posted August 9, 2018 It crashes inside the amd OpenGL driver, as expected. Seems it's running out of video memory, if you play with any HQ resize mode try disabling it. Also set gl_renderbuffers to 0. 0 Share this post Link to post
