[bug] Doom 2 White texture bug and Very fatal error bug "Access Violation - tried to read address" (GZDOOM)

Recommended Posts

So I recently picked up doom 2 to play on my rotten potato laptop and been running into the two bugs listed in the title above.

I noticed the white texture bug happens more often when I use mods (brutal doom, Ultimate doomvisor,Doommetalvol4) but it also happens when I just run the (map 2 is even worse when it comes to the amount of white textures) doom 2 was alone screens

As for the very fatal error "Access Violation - tried to read address" the crash log and etc is in the zip and some extra info about my potato laptop (the crash usually happens when I click on the exit)

I'm using GZDoom v3.5.0 vintage 32-bit

It crashes inside the amd OpenGL driver, as expected.

Seems it's running out of video memory, if you play with any HQ resize mode try disabling it. Also set gl_renderbuffers to 0.
