Speaker Popping Problem

Recommended Posts

Lately my laptop speakers have started making a 'popping' sort of sound if they are turned on (not muted). For example if I watch a video or something with audio it will work fine but about 30 seconds afterwards they will make a loud pop sound if the speakers aren't muted for some reason, like a static discharge or something.

Honestly it's not that bad if they eventually just stop working, as long as it doesn't affect the laptop itself I don't really mind. Just if anyone knows any more about what is happening you can post it here I guess ._.

If they are external speakers then fiddle around with the cable a bit because sometimes the connection can become a bit finicky over time and if at all possible keep them plugged in 24/7 to ensure the connection doesn't get disrupted.  If they are internal, then it's maybe a sign your sound card is going down the shitter and since it's a laptop it has an integrated motherboard and therefore you can't replace the internal sound card.

It is internal, so bye bye speakers I guess. Though as long as I can still use headphones that's not that bad though.

It could be anything from bad ground, bad cable, catching radio frequencies, internal corroding to blown loudspeaker elements
