timmie Posted September 25, 2002 So ZDoomGL now supports JDoom style hires textures. Only TGA's work right now, but I'll be working on the other formats tonight (png, etc)... 0 Share this post Link to post
timmie Posted September 26, 2002 Ok, got formats other than just TGA working now (OpenIL is damn cool). Some screenshots for your viewing pleasure: http://members.shaw.ca/timstump/images/zdoomgl_31.jpg (Doom2) http://members.shaw.ca/timstump/images/zdoomgl_32.jpg (kzdoom7, so you know I'm not pulling your legs) Basically, I can support any image OpenIL supports, which is alot. I only do checks for TGA's and PNG's right now, but that is very easily expanded. http://openil.sourceforge.net/features.php 0 Share this post Link to post
timmie Posted September 26, 2002 Oh, just a warning, those images are pretty big (1280*1024, ~190k). 0 Share this post Link to post

For instance, the textures I'm using in those screenshots are from http://switch.to/doom2textures 0 Share this post Link to post
digit@l_pimp Posted September 27, 2002 sweet jimminy crickets. hi-res textures were the icing on the cake that i was waiting for. that's awesome that they're already in there. oh yah, i forgot to mention, that version you sent me doesn't do full screen resolutions properly. It's in a box the size of the selected resolution in the upper right corner of the screen, but it's not in a window :/ and it's not fullscreen. i dunno, maybe i'm retarded. 0 Share this post Link to post

Hmmm, that latest version did that to me too, but only once. I ran it again and it worked just fine... 0 Share this post Link to post
