Ultimate Doom: Sever the Wicked

Doom 2: Refueling Base for the challenge, and Bloodfalls for the theme and the music.

I also like some challenging IoS maps (like the one from Whitemare).

TimeOfDeath's maps.

His maps are not really unpopular but often contain mandatory strafe50 , really confusing progression , unescapable pits and lots of things I forgot that make beginners flee. :p

Depends on what's meant by "unpopular." if I'm allowed to interpret it as "not popular", i.e. something not many folks have played, then allow me to point at my custom title. :P

I also like Metal, but it's mostly because of the music "Into The Beast's Belly" used in that level and some others.

Into the Beast's Belly is definitely one of my favorite tracks. Metal was the map that made me really hyped when I first played TNT.

Is Monster Condo unpopular? If so, it's one of my favourites in Doom II.

Tenements is also somewhat unpopular among the Romero maps. I love it.

Maximum Doom- Not sure if these are unpopular but as a very young Doom mapper and player, playing the many wads it has is just fascinating. It lets me see how many Doom maps looked like during the 90s.

Monster Condo is my favorite Doom 2 map. Nobody seems to like it, but I'm a huge fan of the way it just keeps revealing new things lol.

It's a map, where somehow Sandy didn't screw the texturing for a change (same goes to Spirit World). The whole library theme was highly original and extremely creepy.

I never heard anyone say they hated that map, but certainly are disappointed in it because the explosive barrels only play a part in the beginning of the map.  Would have been cool if the entire map revolved around the barrels.  Anyways, here's mine:

Doom 2: "Monster Condo" and "The Spirit World"

Final Doom: "Hunted"
