A project for IDTech 4 I'm working on.

Hello!, I wanna share some alpha content from a project we're working on for ID Tech 4 with some friends (based in dhewm 3 engine)

 

I can't share many info yet but here are two videos.

PD: I was also working in a custom map called "Campbell's Last stand, but by now that project is paused.

Inventory system and new textures look promising. Map structure in the second video looks a bit too reliant on corridors.

Looks pretty cool.

 

I like that somebody is doing an inventory system. After playing Escape from Tarkov and seeing its inventory system I thought it would be a good fit for Doom 3, modding futuristic weapons, putting on armor, using medkits, and the like. Looking forward to seeing what you have in store!

 

The structural designs look nice, especially the corridors. It's too early to tell but the larger rooms felt a little flat, like they need something to make moving around in them more interesting. Oh, and what music is that?

Thanks!, This project would have some little RPG elements, think about S.T.A.L.K.E.R.

 

And yes, by now the alpha map looks like too reliant on corridors, we hope to improve our mapping skills for beta and final releases.

Thanks!, we're going to update when we have some more news (not too soon). The "dynamic machinery" and stuff would be one of the lasts things we would do to the map, so don't worry if everything looks static.
