DynamiteKaitorn Posted November 20, 2018 Just curious, is there a limit to "Stairs Raise by 16" switch linedef when used for Vanilla DooM? As far as I can tell, you will achieve a visplane overflow faster than you would reaching a stair build limit. 0 Share this post Link to post
0 andrewj Posted November 21, 2018 (edited) There is no hard-coded limit on the number of active moving floors (like stairs), but each moving floor uses a small amount of memory, so it's theoretically possible to trigger a fatal out-of-memory error, but I reckon you could have a few thousand moving floors without getting anywhere near to that stage. 0 Share this post Link to post
0 Capellan Posted November 21, 2018 Vanilla Doom has a limit of 30 moving floors. Presumably stairs count for that while building, though I have never actually checked. https://doomwiki.org/wiki/Moving_platforms_limit 0 Share this post Link to post
