Arcade Mode PC Top Scores have gone way off the roof

I recently got back to playing Arcade Mode and was very surprised to see some of the scores. Obviously some are done with tricks and tweaks, like using the hologram to keep medals but some like the 6M scores on UAC seem to be impossible... Unless there is some way to infinitely spawn monsters in some place. Makes me wonder if some people were cheating, and if they were - how?

There's a very high chance some people hacked their way to the top of the leaderboards. It's more common than you think - I remember similar cases with Super Meat Boy and the 2013 version of Rise of the Triad.

 

As for how they did it, I have no idea.
