Nekr0s1s Posted December 4, 2018 I'm halfway through Narcos: Mexico, and i've been thinking about watching Vikings*, once i'm done with it. other series i watched so far are: - The Punisher, season 1 - Daredevil (all three seasons, and i'm still bummed about the cancellation) - The Defenders - Atypical - Narcos (the original one) - Fastest Car (just a few episodes. i laughed a lot at Bryan Salamone's episode; his Aventador is hilariously ridiculous and his wife looks like Lady Gaga and Nicki Minaj fused together, with some Kim Kardashian influences) *by the way, is this series any good? is it violent like 300? 1 Share this post Link to post
[McD] James Posted December 4, 2018 (edited) I finished season 2 of The Wire a few days ago. It was pretty good, but the first season was a bit better. The stuff about Frank's stubbornness towards protecting his worker's union, and Ziggy feeling stepped on by everyone was interesting, but the machinations of the Barksdale organization were a lot more compelling overall. I'm fascinated to see what becomes of the relationship between Stringer and Avon. Now I'm going to start watching the final season of Adventure Time. seed Posted December 5, 2018 Recently finished Daredevil season 3 (or should I say binge watched it when it came out instead?) I still can't fucking believe Netflix cancelled the series, this made me take into consideration that after Titans and Punisher season 2 eventually come out I might as well cancel my subscription since superhero shows were the main reason why I subbed in the first place, and now that they're dying one by one there's not much reason for me to keep it, apart from a few shows I'm either yet to watch or finish, but otherwise... Anyway, currently still watching Star Trek: Next Generation and He-Man. 0 Share this post Link to post

geo Posted January 7, 2019 (edited) I saw the first season of "Tales from the Tour Bus" which sounds unappealing until you hear Mike Judge presents: Tales from the Tour Bus. It's animated as in rotoscoped since it's real interviews and real people. Each episode focuses on a different musician telling hilarious true stories of the bat shit craziness that happened with specific 60s - 70s era country music stars. Lots of guns and drugs, but I'm pretty sure a lot of these stars were crazy before the drugs and booze. They're just southerners that lived by their own rules. A week later, I've watched the second season, which was about funk with what I dare say are more relevant names to the current generation of music like James Brown and Rick James. Hulu managed to botch James Brown by having the same episode of a 2 part episode. Eh whatever, a lot of the episodes tend to overlap. Like here's someone from James Brown's crew that went on to his own stardom... now here's Rick James! I didn't feel the second season was as humerus as the first. It was a bit more interesting though. Like George S Clinton had 2 bands, one of which had 15 backup singers and 5 bass players. Maybe it's because this season had fun people rather than horrible people that had fame thrust upon them. I look forward to some alternative rock, gospel or heavy metal seasons. seed Posted January 7, 2019 Still watching the 1964 Addams Family. I've watched almost the entire season 1 but then got distracted and postphoned it. I'll rewatch the 1998 remake afterwards since I don't remember a whole lot since I've last seen it, but that might not be very soon since I'll first bingewatch Titans when it finally arrives on Netflix. 0 Share this post Link to post
Doom_Dude Posted January 7, 2019 Watching the 3rd season of Musketeers on Netflix. I'm about 4 episodes from finishing Star Trek Discovery which I haven't watched in months and then I watched another episode. I kinda, I dunno, don't care anymore or something. Fucking mushroom drives and shit. 0 Share this post Link to post
Nevander Posted January 7, 2019 Not recent, but the last series I finished was The Office. 2 Share this post Link to post
Capellan Posted January 7, 2019 I'm halfway through watching season 3 of Avatar: The Last Airbender for the first time, and also about halfway through re-watching Glee season 3 with the wife. I review the stuff I/we watch at http://toomanydvds.blogspot.com/ 0 Share this post Link to post
Grazza Posted January 7, 2019 (edited) A lot of the stuff I watch is on Netflix or on-demand, so I'll tend to watch whole seasons of things (or whole runs). So there aren't many things I'm "currently watching" at any one time. So this is mostly things that I have watched recently and will watch the next season (assuming there is one). Air Disasters (a.ka. Air Crash Investigation) - best goddamn show ever made Bojack Horseman - yeah, that ridiculous-looking show with the talking animals; if you watch it, you'll find it's a good deal deeper than it looks Travelers - sort-of time-travel scifi; not sure if there will be a new season; it felt like the storyline had ended with Season 3, but maybe not Pine Gap - Aussie-based listening station with dollops of politics, local and geo; watchable even if some of the acting is iffy Space's Deepest Secrets - very well-made and up-to-date space/astronomy shows; non-specialist but not dumbed down too much (context: I have an MA in theoretical physics) Red vs Blue - yeah kind of scraping the barrel a bit when there's not much else to watch or do (and I'm feeling too lazy to tackle my ever-present mountain of work), but it's a kind-of watchable machinima South Park - mostly still watching out of loyalty; there have been way more unfunny episodes in the last few seasons than there used to be And probably some others that I'm forgetting. 0 Share this post Link to post
Bauul Posted January 7, 2019 I'm currently thoroughly enjoying CNN's retrospective documentaries on the Seventies, Eighties, Nineties and 2000s. I strongly recommend them for anyone who can get hold of them. I'm also watching Blue Planet 2. Absolutely necessity if anyone hasn't seen it yet. 0 Share this post Link to post
Nekr0s1s Posted January 8, 2019 just started watching Knightfall, while waiting for The Punisher season 2.* *too bad that it might be the last, given what's been happening with the other Marvel series. i wish i was wrong. 1 Share this post Link to post
Fuzzball Posted January 8, 2019 Pokémon and Moomin- the latter I am stuck on thanks to one specific episode being blocked from all countries on Youtube. Bit odd but I'll figure it out eventually! 0 Share this post Link to post
DynamiteKaitorn Posted January 8, 2019 Steven Universe. And if I get lucky sometimes I can catch a random episode of ARTZOOKA! Which feels like a modern version of Art Attack but with a different host in an equally good show. I really don't watch TV a whole lot anymore... 0 Share this post Link to post
elend Posted January 8, 2019 "Escape at Dannemora" - Real life Prison Break turned into TV show. Not far in yet, but very nice so far. "People of Earth" - Comedic take on alien abductions. Surprisingly funny with great characters. "The Shivering Truth" - ... whut?! "Halt and Catch Fire" - Highly recommended. A more "realistic" take on the whole "Silicon Valley" thing. "Perfume" - German re-interpretation of the famous Novel by Patrick Süsskind. Very moody and dark but with a bad ending. 0 Share this post Link to post
Beezle Posted January 8, 2019 I get up and go to work very early in the morning, so I've been watching a lot of Gumball lately on Cartoon Network. That shows is hilarious. 0 Share this post Link to post
Maser Posted January 8, 2019 The last decent series on TV was The Sopranos. RIP James Gandolfini. 2 Share this post Link to post

You're probably right, unfortunately. And considering Disney+ is coming soon it's only a matter of time before all Marvel shows on Netflix eventually die and vanish from the service. Though Netflix is still going to be useful until then since they won't be available in all territories initially. DC's is only available in the US at the moment, so I have to wait for Titans to air on Netflix this month in order to watch it. HBO is very tempting too since the Watchmen series is probably going to be exclusive to the platform. 0 Share this post Link to post
Eurisko Posted January 8, 2019 (edited) Now that the Big Bang Theory is drawing to an official close I've decided to actually watch it all the way through in order, loving it so far. Also doing a run through The X-Files and looking forward to Star Trek: Discovery season two that starts next week. 0 Share this post Link to post
