Charbomber Posted December 21, 2018 (edited) Finally, I made a wad that is not meme related and I made in my own free time and I can share it online (still not porn, what the fuck is up with you). This is a boss map for UDMF, although uses custom textures from another wad, the textures are pre-packaged with the wad, your welcome. Everything you CAN do in ZDoom is possible (E.G. free look, crouching, jumping). And yes, the music WAS free to use, it wasn't just stolen. The textures were done by Jimmy, great guy, go to his stuff. Mr Chris makes song compilations for DooM (from what I have heard from people) and I'm not sure he credits the song creators themselves, or I may just be dumb, and if I am, check out https://www.doomworld.com/idgames/music/rockit25 for it contains not only the music I used but also a text file explaining it. In future you should focus on only including resources you actually use. TheMightyHeracross Posted December 21, 2018 (edited) There's a giant gaping HOM five seconds into your map (this happens at all 4 doors): You scripted the level's sole monster to raise sector 666 on death without actually putting a sector tag 666 in the map, thus making the map unbeatable. How did you not notice this in playtesting? Did you test at all? On top of that you stole an entire texture pack and a MIDI, not only plagiarizing and disrespecting the community's talented artists, but also bloating up this WAD- basically an inferior version of E2M8- to 18.8 MB, which is just silly. 3 Share this post Link to post

I thought I changed that, but I guess GZDoom doesn't want to edit my files then, but either way, that wasn't my fault. Also, you know that you have to wait like 2 seconds before door 666 opens, right? I would credit the creators if I could, I'm not sure who made the textures, either TEX or JoM or something, because it's titled "jom5_zoontex". Like, did your teachers in high school never make you "cite your sources"? A lot of people work very hard on providing resources to the community- for free- and only ever expect to be credited by their names for it. Ok, so, for some reason GZDB isn't saving my progress some times, I'll get a bug fix out soon with everything in place. Also, being new isn't my excuse for forgetting to credit, I never said it was. Here's a suggestion to try: Make a small tech base (IE similar in size to my Chill Base or Whack maps) to get used to the mapping if necessary and produce a single level that doesn't use external textures.
