warman2012 Posted January 6, 2019 So, what new weapon-only mods have been released over the past year and posted onto the site here? Can anyone provide links to those weapon mod forum topics? Thanks. 0 Share this post Link to post
m8f Posted January 6, 2019 (edited) Weapon mods (as other gameplay mods) are posted on this forum not so often. Weapon mods can be found here on ZDoom forums, though: https://forum.zdoom.org/search.php?st=365&sk=t&sd=d&sr=topics&keywords=weapon&terms=any&fid[]=43&sf=firstpost Note that this search results contain not only weapon-only mods, but also mods that contain monster replacements, and some irrelevant. Nevertheless, this list contains many mods that you are searching for. 0 Share this post Link to post

banjiepixel Posted January 7, 2019 It seems to me that doomworld is populated mostly by people that play doom mainly in it's more classic form, meaning playing without mods that have alot of changes to basic gameplay. ZDoom forums seems to is the place where gameplay mods are popular. It is kinda funny how doom community seems to be split in two. One side is doomworld/idgames and other side seems to be zdoom forums/moddb site. One likes more classic vanilla and other likes more modern doom modding stuff. 0 Share this post Link to post
Gez Posted January 7, 2019 ZDoom mods are rarely on moddb; usually they're on googledrive/mediafire/mega/whatever and 90% of the time they're 404. 0 Share this post Link to post
Empyre Posted January 8, 2019 Check also Zandronum's site. Virtually everything there will run fine in (G)ZDoom. While it is possible to make something that runs in Zandronum but not in (G)ZDoom, it is hard to do accidentally and very rare. 0 Share this post Link to post
