Alright, what are some really popular levels to doom, and how to I install them to play. What I mean by levels is I see people sending in map packs of their own scenarios they make. Where do I download these and how do you install them? Again, I was hoping that maybe you guys know some that are really famous for being great quality. Thanks again,

Go here: ftp://3darchives.in-span.net/pub/idgames/. Choose the levels, deathmatch, or newstuff directory, choose the doom or doom2 subdirectory, and start DLing .zip files.

To play an (unzipped) level, edit the command line of the engine you're running, either at the DOS prompt or the shortcut. Add the following to the command line: "-file addon.wad" where "addon" is the nbame of the level you want to play. Run it from there.

Oh yeah and to play those unzipped files, first, you'll have to unzip them. WinZip or WinRAR should do nicely. :)

Both suck the cock. Use Power Archiver which opens every popular form of compressed files and types I've never heard of too.

I've just been downloading anything that someone says try out, or says great level, or awesom wad, or has high ratings, so I will have plenty of hours of gaming when i get my computer soon..usually there are links to download, there are a ton of wads just on Doomworld site's alone, and if you know the zip you can find them at Doomsearch.com
