Question

I am using Doom Builder 2, ZDoom Doom in Doom format. I am trying to make it so when I push a lever, a bridge will emerge from a pool of nukage. Unfortunately, I am having difficulties with this. For instance, there is deep water, but it only covers the sector the deep water object is in, the deep water is see through and the sector acts like a zero gravity room.

Any help? Is there any other method of making deep water in the Doom map format, or is my only option to switch to another map format (the map I am working on has a lot of progress and I can't seem to port it to the other map formats).

I once copied the whole map by selecting all sectors from Doom format and pasted that into a new UDMF file. It worked, but all items and enemies were gone. At least I could use my map again.

If you used UDMF (or Hexen format) a workaround would not be necessary

raising and lowering the bridge is done with a simple OPEN script

Granted, you will have to relearn the featureset, but it will be well worth the effort.

Thank you all for your help, I used a different method for the map I was working on and I am now switching to a new editor.
