This is a download of ZDoom Forums, so that way you can browse the ZDoom Forums with no connection!

Works well, although a lot of the site is missing in this version (Usually posts with 6 or more pages).

This one is ~1.5GB, the upcoming version is 12GB (so far). I'll release them separate so casuals can get the 1GB version and extremophiles can get the 12GB version.

 

*Edit here is the Large Version : https://drive.google.com/open?id=1oNn9Fy-0xy6kNYWsG5veHuT_RUXYPTo8 This is a 6GB download and it unpacks to 12 ish GB.

 

*Edit 2; Here is an EXTRA LARGE version. This unpacks to 20GB and the download is 10GB so you want to have 30 or so GB free to download and unpack it. I'm going to make one more version where I remove some large files from the site. This version also included parts of the wiki and stuff there is a lot in here. I think there is around 750k pages of the forum downloaded on this one. Still doesn't have all the pages though but due to size and time constraints I'm going to end this here.

Of course you will not be able to log in or post on this offline copy of the site but its mostly just supposed to be used a reference for modders.

So far the search feature doesn't work. There is another way to search though. If you go into the folder ZDoomForums\forum.zdoom.org and do a search there it will work similar to a search of the site but right now thats the best I can do.

According to me, the Extra Large version is 9.91GB compressed, 24.32GB uncompressed.

 

The OP is correct that it appears to include large chunks of other sites (e.g. Fandom Wolfenstein). In theory, this is not necessary because backups are available elsewhere, but I understand the advantage of making this self-contained, and with all embedded content visible immediately.

Yeah my goal with this is simply to have it as a Modding resource for people who have bad Internet or in my case, I only use my cell phone for Internet so this helps me free up data.

 

Also the bloated version has over 700k pages of the forums in the forums folder. So it's basically got more of the forums I think but I still easily found missing pages even in that version. Apologies on that and I'll try to make a better version if anyone shows an interest.
