Tor1zo Posted April 24, 2019 (edited) Whenever i try to insert textures into my map, this error appears. From what i know it is a common error and i couldnt find any solution on the INTERWEBZ and i need a solution. (using Akeldamas textures.) EDIT: I FOUND THE SOLUTION! you can know when this will happen just by seeing the "Map marker" (? almost at the bottom of the things in Slade3, if its not MAP01 there shoudl be a marker at the top saying "MAP01". you just delete that marker and rename the "Map marker" (? to MAP01 or the map you were editing!! (WAAAYYY easy :P) Edited April 25, 2019 by DUBIDKFA : found solution 0 Share this post Link to post
Gez Posted April 24, 2019 14 minutes ago, DUBIDKFA said: Whenever i try to insert textures into my map Yeah, it looks like you're doing that a bit too literally. Long story short: Doom data is stored in things named "lumps", a map is made of several lumps, and the lumps that make up a map should never be separated from each other by other lumps. TEXTMAP is the main data lump for UDMF maps, it should come immediately after the map header (the lump with the map name, such as MAP01 for example), and if it doesn't, you'll get this kind of errors. 1 Share this post Link to post

Gez Posted April 24, 2019 That's probably what is causing confusion for DB. 0 Share this post Link to post
Tor1zo Posted April 24, 2019 So, you know how to solve it? Maybe moving the Lump or something like that?? 0 Share this post Link to post
Empyre Posted April 25, 2019 Rename one of them to another map slot: MAP02, or something like that. 0 Share this post Link to post
