Diego Ignelzi Posted April 30, 2019 I want to add the waterfall textures to my new wad, and when I open the wad to extract the textures I find 3 different textures, how do I make it work? 0 Share this post Link to post
Empyre Posted April 30, 2019 The ANIMATED lump works in Boom format, and also in other ports, like ZDoom and Eternity. 1 Share this post Link to post
Gez Posted May 1, 2019 You find three different textures because it's how animated textures work: the engine just swaps one of the textures for the next in the animation cycle. 1 Share this post Link to post
NiGHTMARE Posted May 1, 2019 IIRC you don't need to define WFALL1-4 in the ANIMATED lump, as the definitions are hard-coded in the vanilla doom2.exe (and are subsequently supported by all source ports) even though the graphics aren't present in doom2.wad. All you need to do is add them to PNAMES and TEXTURE1. I believe the SWATER1-4 are also hard-coded as flats. 2 Share this post Link to post
Kappes Buur Posted May 2, 2019 (edited) If you are interested in a more dramatic waterfall, then check out Rex's Paranoid MAP08. You can do so much more with GZDoom (Doom in Hexen format or UDMF) thank you GZ etal :-). For example: 1 Share this post Link to post

Kappes Buur Posted May 2, 2019 I think that could be possible. Let me try. [edit] 0 Share this post Link to post
