BassSlapper89 Posted May 15, 2019 Doom to Hexen Format Doom Builder 2 Gzdoom --- Can you custom design the Skill Menu? For Example, I'm wanting it to look like the "Player Class Menu" design, Where each Skill has it's own Picture. Like Wolfenstein 3D for example. Like for say, Selecting "Easy" would would pop up with a picture on the right hand side, in a box, with the PlayerFace wearing a Bib and Pacifier. Hopefully this was a good description. Thank you in advance! 1 Share this post Link to post

Thank you in advance! To play the pwad, you can use GZDoom. To use either (Doom in Hexen) format or GZDoom (UDMF) depends on which format you use to create the pwad. However, Doombuilder2 is just for editing map resources. For adding map resources you need to use Slade3 or similar. Can a custom Skill Menu with images be designed? You answered your own question ny pointing out Wolfenstein 3D. Yes, it is possible, but not easily achieved. Go to the Github site. Select Scripts, then Menus, then ExtendedListMenu.txt for an explanation on how it was done. As I already mentioned, adding the images is not that easy. But it helps when you have the WIKI open as you progress through the text. 1 Share this post Link to post
BassSlapper89 Posted May 17, 2019 (edited) Thank you for the feedback. Sorry for any confusion. I listed what I'm using but for forgot to include Slade3. (Had a long night at work when I typed this lol.) I am definitely giving this a shot! Thank you again. I'm designing a Jazz Jackrabbit Doom Mod and I'm trying to design it as close I can like to original platforming game from 94. Plus, this is my first Mod EVER that I am working on. 1 Share this post Link to post
