"Fan art" can, I suppose, be stretched to include palette swaps/alterations, but what is your motivation? The color choices look arbitrary and the shaded areas are bright. Why? And what are you submitting to?

I actually like it :) Define the edges of the mouth and eye with blue, or something, and it will actually look pretty cool. Of course, who'd have to use Doom's palette to seriously use it in Doom...

with green horns, blue pupil, and darkened mouth, I think it would at least qualify as a monster a child would think was under their bed.

I actually got it to convert to the Doom palette pretty close, before going "ugh" and giving up. There's something remotely cool about it, though...don't know why.
