This here is the alpha build of my up coming TMoD 3D project. So far, I have a couple levels made (albeit in rough shapes) and a good few models made. Don't be surprised if things break down easily during your test. XD Things to note: 1 - This was tested with GZDooM 3.6 2 - This in an alpha build. 3 - This uses DooM 2 as a base (barely XD) 4 - This NEEDS mouse aim as well as jump+crouch 5 - This uses 3D models AND Dynamic lights so make sure your engine supports it! 6 - Yes, Ultimate IS that sadistic! They're only a temporary measurement. I actually want to clean them up before I release it (though the low-poly count IS meant to be the art-style). The excessive fog is a combination of a freezing cold climate (Dynamite is immune to the cold so this doesn't effect her) and the sudden invasion of robots. Chapter 3 is way foggier than the first two. (Wont spoil why ;) ) 1 Share this post Link to post
DuckReconMajor Posted August 9, 2019 played through the first hub A few quick notes: I LOVE the music! reminds me of Marble Blast Ultra soundtrack It's not in the video but some inconsistent music changes. I went into one level and it played the Doom 2 menu music on repeat until I went to another level. It's in the video but I cannot figure out level 4 at all. DynamiteKaitorn Posted August 10, 2019 The inconsistent music changing is because none of the HUBS/bosses have music in them as of yet so DooM just attempts to load the last song into memory to fill in that void? (No idea) Also to beat MAP04, you need to realise how the key system works. Your inventory will store the keys and will then be removed once you open a door (said door will also be permanently open as a result). I might look into cleaning up MAP04 so it's not so confusing. 1 Share this post Link to post
ketmar Posted August 10, 2019 (edited) my usual self-promotion: it almost works in k8vavoom. you can start it, but chasecam is on the floor, and not following the hero. quite hard to play. ;-) now i have two games for the price of one: first, find out why k8vavoom chasecam is broken, and then the second real game! ;-) p.s.: it is not your fault with chasecam, it is something in k8vavoom, i believe. i'm not asking you to fix it, of course. 3 Share this post Link to post

DynamiteKaitorn Posted August 10, 2019 Every door should just require the "use" key to activate it. If that fails, the "use item" key (same one that lets you use quartz flasks in heretic for example) should also work. 1 Share this post Link to post

DynamiteKaitorn Posted October 22, 2019 Hello again everyone! I'm bumping this thread since I FINALLY released BETA 1.2 . So, what have I done so far? Well... Spoiler - Multiple new songs for nearly every level in alpha 1.2 (I know I missed bosses 2 and 3). - Updated Dynamite's player model - Updated Rabbit, Cat and Dragon models - Added Gold variant of the Dragon robot (W.I.P!) - buffed purple blaster's fire rate and accuracy - Added a new "rapid fire" power up (Only appears in boss 3's arena for now) - introduced HUB 03 - Infuranio complex [Comes with 4 maps] (VERY W.I.P) - Added sound effects for Dynamite for when she walks, jumps, lands and takes damage - Updated some of the item models to fit with the black outline theme - Added green and purple gems (There's 1 purple gem added in-game so far. Good luck finding it! ^_^) - Made a lava texture glow because apples Probably some other stuff I forgot to add... Also, there's a bug that WILL crash GZDooM should you jump through a portal that leads to a new map (Not guaranteed to occur). I'll see what I can do to fix it. (Walking through seems to work just fine). Anywho, ON TO HUB 04! THE FINAL HUB!
