Could you post a list of the map order with credits somewhere on this thread? It can be in a spoiler in the OP or another post.

 

I assume the individual credits will also be in the text file, but it might be a nice touch to add the names to the CWILV's, as well.

It is such a good idea that we already did it! It has everything but music credits.

First 10 levels are okay. I'm hoping the later levels will ramp up the difficulty and scope.

 

They do get more difficult, but it's not balanced with those mods you're using in mind, so your experience may vary from the intended.

Well, up to map21 now. I thought the elevator on "Inhuman Resources" was well done. "Spiral of Decay" was a nice gimmick map. "Sinthetic Icon" stood out with its orange tunnels. I didn't like how the regular exit wasn't labeled though. I had the red key ready to go but I accidentally finished the level with 65% monsters killed. Map31 was a gimmick I've seen before a few times but it's still a concept I like to see. Map32: "Ten Speed" having C&C's "Ten Speed" as the midi was appropriate. 

 

And to rephrase, I just meant difficulty in relation to tech base in general. I'm well aware playing with GC is going to make it easier, that's why I like it.

 

I just tried map24 and it's easily the most serious map yet. The only problem is that I have no fucking idea where to go. Got the red key, ran around for a while and gave up. I'll try again later, kinda burned out today.

 

Oops, I lied. I just finished the wad. Had to skip map24, just couldn't navigate it. Map28 was a nice change of pace. I was getting bored with the labyrinth style of maps. It was fun just killing stuff for a change. Map29 was clever with it's use of platforming between sections, certainly a stand out. Map30 I'm not sure what I was doing. I just kept shooting the switches and eventually the level ended. Having the switches shootable from the ground makes mouselook quite broken on this map. Perhaps the switches should be recessed in the wall so you have to use the lift.

Replayed first 1/3 of the megawad and found a couple of minor things:

 

Map03: @Magicana Does this crate look out of place or is this intentional?

I'm playing through this and so far it's been an absolute blast. Thank you to the team that built this -- a truly great megawad!

 

@ZeMystic, any chance that you'll start an Oops! All Techbase 2? :-)

I for one would be keen for that - Might get me out of this mapping drought which has now gone on longer than the time I was actually mapping for.

Personally I thought about sequels, and I don't think an Oops! All Techbase 2 would work well.

 

HOWEVER

 

Doom has plenty of other themes to work with, and it would be lovely to have an Oops! all City, or an Oops! all Hell sort of thing going.

Something like that was done 2 years ago, the name is Infernew.

Unluckily put in coma state before the supposed alpha release has been done.

 

But yes, I like too to have a new mono-thematic megawad, especially a city one. Is really rare to see city maps
