no pistol?

I hope not. I enjoyed doing a pistol-only run in Doom 2016. It's actually not terrible when fully upgraded.

I wonder if that wheel grows as time goes on?  Perhaps it's set to scale so that it only shows enough pie slices to accomodate the weaopns you've found "so far".

Maybe it's replaced with the crucible sword.

The pistol did not show up in the Doom 4 E3 gameplay trailer either, so it'll return in the full game for Eternal.

I doubt they cut a starting weapon like the pistol from the game.

 

It's probably only missing in the demos and trailers.

I believe that the missing weapon in this weapon wheel is probably the pistol.

One of the journalists who played the game at E3 wrote he had to use the pistol  because ammo was scarce for the other weapons... so it’s there, just wonder why it’s not in the wheel.

Well if it isn't a pistol maybe it is a grenade launcher and shares ammo with the rocket launcher?
