2 wads i made earlier this year

Here is couple maps i have made earlier this year and recently updated. Both of them are 1 map wads. These were originally posted only at zdoom forums since i was not able to make doomworld account at the time

 

Imbedded Base
My first doom wad and first doom wad i have ever worked on. it's supposed to be a demonic base built in rock/mountain or something like that i guess. it is a mix of techbase and more hellish textures with some indoor and outdoor areas. This should take you about 15-20 minutes. There is 2 difficulty setting hmp and uv, i recommend playing at UV first because that is the difficulty it's made to be played at!

Map 01 
UDMF Format
Uses 3d floors and dynamic lights
Hardware rendering required
Jumping and crouching is required for some secrets!
Freelook highly recommended

Load Lights and brightmaps in your gzdoom resource settings
Made to be played with GZDoom source port, other source ports not tested.

Castle Matias

This is my second release, but third map i have ever worked on (second one got stuck in development hell). This one is a bit different because it's made for BDLite gameplay mod. If you don't know BDLite is a basically a cut-down version of Brutal Doom. First half of the map is a large outdoor area and second half is the castle. Castle itself is a fairly square 2 floor building made with 3d floors . This map should take about 10minutes even tho there is over 260 monsters! If you decide to play this without BDLite i'm not stopping you but you probably should expect much harder time and stuff that is gonna be completely unfair since you are just not gonna have enough firepower.

This map also has 2 difficulty settings, hmp and uv. I recommend playing with UV since that is the difficulty it's made to be played at!

@Suitepee Thanks for playing!

I appreciate the feedback and suggestions you gave on your stream, i see why the use of barons would be considered too much of a meat shield and will keep it in mind going forward. Balance is one of the things i'm really interested to hear about since that is something i've been working to be better at with previous updates.

 

it's a shame that you experienced that awful hom in the second map. I downloaded the latest version of gzdoom (V. 4.1.3) to troubleshoot and to see if it behaves differently than older versions. And i didn't have any issues with it. Only way i was able to replicate the hom and other glitches seen on your stream was to use softpoly renderer instead of Hardware Accelerated . I don't know what renderer you used but that might be the issue? 

Other things i also noticed in your stream was missing reflections in the first map and the transparent "glass" floors didn't seem to work in the castle map. issues with the blood decals most likely are caused by the same thing 

 

i have now tested my maps with GZDoom versions : 3.5.1 , 3.6.0 , 4.1.1 and 4.1.3 just to troubleshoot the issue and i also downloaded my own files just to make sure that nothing went wrong with the zipping, but everything seems fine.  Renderer is only thing i can come up with
