It´s a rather simple endless horde map. I made it because these seem to be really rare these days. I would love to see how others fair in getting all the weapons.

Pistol Start;

Skill level doesn´t matter. It gets harder over time with no end goal;

1 map;

Anythings allowed. Tho its more fun to get all the weapons without jumping;

Length: 30 seconds ~ infinite;

Hello I watched the stream and i wanted to mention some of the feedback...

Some of the stuff mentioned was already fixed but i may have found out about those issues a bit too late for the stream. For example the lift and the Doorpegs.

But i do agree that I should've made the Super Shotgun more noticable for the Hell Knight fight. The texture transitions are also something to look into but yeah cheers for a more design focused look into my map! :)

Doom - The Blood Feast: A WAD set in hell revolving around a demonic cult who have captured the Marine after the events of Doom 64. Features custom assets.

 

 

- Source port; GzDoom.

- IWAD; Doom 2.

- Pistol Start or Continuous gameplay; Continuous.

- Skill Level; HMP or UV.

- How Many maps? 11 main maps, 1 secret, 1 epilogue.

- Gameplay: Freelook, crouch and jump not required.

- Gameplay Length? Approximately 50 minutes to 1 hour.

This is a project that is flowing on a good wind. The challenge is great, the visuals are great...and in my opinion we have the elements to be a great MegaWad at its time of release. I think Zolgia is doing the right thing with playtesting to its maximum...more opinions leads to good changes..for the best. Im having good time playing this and having the luck of having the mapper during the stream. Excited to check out the next episode!

We have some tecniques quite interesting that i do love and not master..the portals and water pools. Its an interesting map that i think that the only thing that could be improved is the Lightening (alot of very dark areas and some torches details could be added in my opinion) and monster placement. Of course that giving better tier monsters involves to give more ammo...

Overall the visuals and design comes up in the eye than the gameplay...but i think that is not very hard to improve here. Thanks alot for the request and i have to learn some stuff from you!

I like xxWenxx small maps. They can be very challenging with some traps and confined space, and this is a good example of it. I would like to see a project from this mapper, like 10 or 15 maps of this quality. Small and fun maps for me can be quite cool to play!

ENVIRONMENTAL STORYTELLING

Not a bad map where the main focus is the area where the monsters teleports by waves...an interesting fight indeed. I like it. There is an issue with the exit button, so it can be seen on the automap, and if we press that zone without the sector being raised up...it activates and we finish the map. That should be fixed.

Overall, there is challenging times during the gameplay, but we are provided with the RL that helps alot!

In my opinion we have something very good here. My mistake was to play all the maps on pistol start...and sure, i made it, but not without alot of frustration. Mainly is my fault because i did not implement the mandatory information about the request. Now...ill not forget about that. Mainly the only thing i think that it might lacked...was ammo...but yeah..because i did not played this continuous...i cant really evaluate. From the experience here....i can say that i loved the grenade launcher, the boots are ok...and the puzzle thing about the moving crates are cool. Game can be challenging, solid mapping design and cool story! Recommended for sure...

More comments during the videos and thanks alot for the request. For me a really nice job here.

We never know what will come out from Clippy´s maps...

Overall, if you have the feeling of Dora the Explora in the skin of Doom guy...here you have it...100 secrets to find out. I think its interesting...but because i was a little bit tired of the stream...i did not found more than 5 secrets or so...Probably a good map to spend the afternoon playing or even for the ones...who loves secrets! Thanks for the request buddy!

Its a contest...its hard...its meant to be hard and not my kind of beach to lay on. Not saying its a bad map, but this focused on trial and error...like alot. Did not participate on the contest...did not even finished it , but its interesting at least, if you want to solve "puzzles" and overcome yourself with this kind of difficulty. I liked it. Its a short story to escape with the final part being the hardest....still,  if you let "the boys solve the problems within themselves"...the last part becomes very easy to surpass. Overall a map that scares more than presents it self. Thanks for the request and more comments during the video.

    Hey, thanks for playing my map! I LOVE the way you handled the final battle, I did not intend that battle to pan out that way, but it does seem like a fun way to do it. It is a lot harder if you play with infinitely tall monsters (no running under Cacos for you!).

 

    The music seems to be hit & miss for many people. It's from Marathon (DooM clone from 1994).

@Austinado i forgot to say, that my map is part of quake themed community project still in wip, will need pdqtex.wad (textures, sounds and some new monsters), probably won't work with mods like smooth or brutal doom because of custom palette.

Pistol start, jumping and crouching disabled in mapinfo. Freelook recomended to check out scenery. Never did measured gameplay lenght, but i'd say it's about 20 minutes or so.
