chemo Posted July 12, 2019 Gives a more proper look at its model. Considering how in places this enemy looks like it was put back together with staples, I wonder if the name comes from them being mutilated corpses revived with cybernetic technology. Also, I don't believe this screenshot has surfaced before, maybe this a hint of what's to come at QuakeCon? 2 Share this post Link to post
Bottomsup Posted July 12, 2019 (edited) It would be really exciting if that was not only a reference to the band, but also a hint to them as a source of inspiration of Eternal's soundtrack. Edited July 12, 2019 by Boilers! 0 Share this post Link to post
whatup876 Posted July 13, 2019 (edited) Speaking of new screenshots, does anyone know where this comes from? I stumbled upon some video and i saw it there but not anywhere else, like Slayer's Club or some gaming sites. Said video being https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hbPmUwDGZ64 1 Share this post Link to post
Stale Meat Posted July 13, 2019 Now that we have a good look at him, it is now just clicking with me what he really looks like... Those cheeky bastards. 5 Share this post Link to post
MFG38 Posted July 13, 2019 Looks like a rejected Strogg concept for Quake 4. 3 Share this post Link to post

NeptunesTyrant Posted July 13, 2019 Kinda reminds me of Quake 1's Vore, with the three legs and lipless mouth. 0 Share this post Link to post

Indeed. Cobbled together from dead Mancubi and Arachnotrons. The demon clean up crew surveys the battlefield after a Slayer rampage. Their conclusion "We can reuse this." 0 Share this post Link to post
DooM_RO Posted July 17, 2019 They're probably dead demons/people that otherwise too damaged to be useful so they gave them those weird tripod legs. 0 Share this post Link to post
whatup876 Posted August 7, 2019 Speaking off possibly unseen screenshots (next to some already seen) there's this Portuguese site that has some of them. I tried making a link through some site archive but it messed up the images, so i might as well link it to the actual site properly. https://www.gamereactor.pt/imagens/?textid=449543&id=2917173 We also get a better view of a selectable enemy in the demons' HUD being a "Maykr drone" and "Marty minimart". 0 Share this post Link to post
whatup876 Posted August 12, 2019 Also, you know that screenshot that shows a Mancubus and a player with a chaingun inside a "Heaven" like section from that map with a Titan? I was rewatching the Battlemode reveal E3 trailer and... 0 Share this post Link to post

Rudolph Posted August 27, 2022 Of all Doom Eternal's new additions, the Carcass is the one that screams the most classic Doom to me. In fact, I would love to see a proper demake of the monster. 0 Share this post Link to post
