is there a way i can hook up a controller to gzdoom and edge? and how can i do it?

Gzdoom doesn't have a joystick interface, you'll need to plug your controller into your computer. :P

Seriously though, as long as your O/S recognizes your controller, all you should need to do is enable it from within the game menu.

I've never tried using a controller/gamepad/joystick with Edge though, but I'd imagine it should work in a similar way..
