RichardDS90 Posted August 19, 2019 Am I the only person on this site that is addicted to TV Tropes? It's such a neat and fun website with all sorts of bizarre info and the way media is analysed. 1 Share this post Link to post
Chow Yun Thin Posted August 19, 2019 Yeah it is, even to the point of it ruining your life. 2 Share this post Link to post
Phobus Posted August 19, 2019 I go on and off of it. I think that trivia and analysis can be interesting for a while, but eventually one tires of it. Cracked has a similar effect on me. 0 Share this post Link to post
HavoX Posted August 21, 2019 I have a folder in my bookmark sidebar that's full of tropes. Some of them are interesting, while others are quite disturbing... Manuel-K Posted August 25, 2019 I get bursts where I keep reading tropes for several hours and then I don't visit the site for many months. 1 Share this post Link to post
printz Posted August 25, 2019 They were a bit better when a lot of the tropes had real life examples. The real life nightmare fuel page was quite the horror indeed while it lasted. Nowadays I only go there after watching a show, to check the overall impression and aspects of it. 2 Share this post Link to post
Devalaous Posted August 26, 2019 Everytime I get linked there without realising it, im reading stuff for hours upon hours, and clicking open more tabs. 1 Share this post Link to post
SchwTrdLeenW Posted August 26, 2019 Last time i got carried away by this site, i had roughly 30 open tabs where every single one had at least 5 other interesting links in it. So yeah, i feel you. Sometimes it happens with Wikipedia too. 0 Share this post Link to post
scalliano Posted August 26, 2019 I always look up the works page after finishing a game or a movie. Next thing I know it's midnight. 1 Share this post Link to post
Solmyr Posted August 27, 2019 I miss the times when nightmare fuel was divided into high octane nightmare fuel for the actually disturbing and horrifying entries, and plain nightmare fuel for less horrible stuff, that sometimes was nightmare fuel for sheltered people rather than actual horrifying stuff. 0 Share this post Link to post
